Our Start

Starting the company in 2021, Rockwell Peterson has continued to expand coverage across multiple states. Rockwell began in Rapid City, SD, providing security for bars, events, and more; this was only the beginning. He sought more ways to contribute to the greater good within the security world when given the opportunity to add a Butte, MT location to the growing company. This was beneficial due to the increased coverage it provided. By covering a vast majority of Interstate 90, Odin's Gate Guards was able to meet “halfway” and add a third location in Billings, MT. This third location has made it possible to offer security to the majority of Montana, along with coverage for a large portion of South Dakota.

Rapid City, SD

In Rapid City, South Dakota, you will find the start of it all—our main office. This office space is key to the ever-growing company we have become. We also foster multiple up-and-coming businesses out of this location with the goal of aiding community growth.

Odin’s Gate Guards acquired Timberline Security in August 2024, which has given us the opportunity to be the main security provider for Northwest Energy. It is an absolute pleasure to work with them and help keep the power on for the greater continental Midwest.

Our recent expansions to Missoula and Billings rounds out our coverage and allows us to expand our services to the entirety of Montana.

Rockwell Peterson, Owner/Operator, founded Odin's Gate Guards in 2021 and has progressively expanded the company. This young entrepreneur has dominated the security industry in the Montana and South Dakota area.
